Featuring Samwise!

Sam's new thing is to "Help Heal", and to make sure I don't get attacked by bugs on the screen!

Helping me heal last night. I'm in trouble if I actually have to move my arms though! This is his new thing, since I can't back up enough for him to have lap room to lay on!

Following the Mouse around

I went to go fold laundry, and left Rae hovering near Wyrmrest. Sam found this highly fascinating. At least enough that I was able to walk over, get the camera, walk back, and he still thought the 'bug' was more interesting than me. Ignore the washer noise in the background and the mess around the desk. :-)

And again... silly cat

Does anyone pay attention to time?

10:20 at night.  I had just crawled into bed, and sent C a text message saying I was going to bed since i hadn't heard from him in hours, and didn't know if he wanted to talk before I turned completely incomprehensible.

10:20:30 (30 seconds later) The house phone rings.

Me: Rolls over and answers phone

"Hello?"
"Is this K. H.?"
"Yes"
"This is So-n-So from the American Consumer research...."  (They sent me a postcard 3 days ago warning me that they would call and asking if I would be SO kind to give them a bit of my time for this IMPORTANT research when they got around to calling)
"Do you REALIZE that it is 10:30 at night here?  I'm already in bed, and was about to be asleep before you..."  /gets cut off
"Oh! I'm so sorry"
/slam phone down

Hmm... I wonder who I can report them to for calling at that hour of the night.  I'm pretty sure it's illegal....

Thoughts on laziness...

In claiming to my husband that "I'm going to be lazy on Monday", he, in return, replied "You should be as lazy as you can!  I'll grill something for dinner!"

Well, this now means
1. I need to go out and purchase something to grill
2. I need to figure out how to season said meat
3. I need to figure out what else will be served along with meat, and purchase if necessary
4. I need to get meat ready that day – seasoning/marinating it appropriately ahead of time
5. I need to make sure other food will be ready
6. I need to tell Husband food is ready to be cooked.
7. Husband goes outside and plays with meat and fire
8. I cook all other food, and start cleaning up kitchen
9. I clean up the dirty plate for the meat
10. He drinks a beer while playing with fire
11. After Eating, I get to clean up everything.

Exactly how is this being lazy?

True Story

Heard on the Radio this morning, as they were discussing the Air France flight that has gone missing...

DJ 1 : You know, the Ocean can be over 15000 feet at places in the areas they're looking
DJ 2: That's like hundreds of miles!

Me: *sigh* /change radio station

Ain't commuting fun?

Yesterday, I saw a house get pulled over by a cop.  In the middle of the highway, on my way home.  Yes, a HOUSE.  Specifically, the front side I believe, although it’s hard to tell when it’s covered in plastic.

It was one of those modular homes.  The ones that are cut in half on the trailers with the “wide load” signs, an escort car behind them (which they obviously can’t see), and traffic backing up for 2 miles because people are afraid to pass a house on the road.  But, I had passed the back half without incident, and saw the front half about ¾ of a mile up ahead.  In the mean time, I had a cop car pass me in the left lane – no biggie, but an excuse for everyone to show that their brake lights work.  So, I’m driving along – watching people slow down for both the cop car AND the house, and I’m slowly catching up to the house.  All of the sudden, I see the cop car from the left lane, change into the middle lane and switch it’s blues on.  It then straddles the middle and right lanes, between the house and the miniscule escort car, until the house pulls over.

So yes, I saw a house get pulled off to the side of the highway on the way home yesterday by I’m sure a very nice member of the State Police.
